About Rameshwaram Temple
- A Sacred Journey to the Trikuta Hills
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, dedicated to the Mother Goddess. Situated at an altitude of 5,200 feet in the Trikuta Mountains, the temple is unique because the Goddess is worshipped in the form of three natural rock formations known as Pindies, representing Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati
According to legend, the Goddess meditated in the Garbh Joon cave for nine months to escape the demon Bhairon Nath. The pilgrimage is considered incomplete until devotees visit the Bhairon Nath Temple after seeking blessings at the main Bhawan.
